The Lounsbury House remains one of the grandest mansions on Ridgefield's historic Main Street. Perfect for all types of galas, events, wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners or bridal showers, the mansion provides an elegant and sophisticated setting for your special event.

The Ballroom, Living Room, Dining Room and Crystal Room – all on the main floor – offer a gorgeous setting, with original decorative fireplaces and all of the original crown molding and trim in every room. The Crystal Room features original period antiques and a tuned grand piano, for our guests' use. The main floor is fully air conditioned and offers access to the dramatic wrap-around veranda. All of the rooms offer delightful views of the gorgeous grounds through the original gothic picture windows.

The second floor offers an additional gathering hall and central decorative fireplace, the South Room Conference Room and the Archive Room complete with dining table and seating for 8. Also located on the second floor is a stately Groom’s Suite and a beautifully appointed Bridal Suite, both with private restrooms. The bridal party can access the suites through a separate entrance, if desired. Highlighting the staircase landing is the original stained glass window which allows sunlight to stream through. Opportunities for photographs are plentiful at the Lounsbury House.

Other modern day amenities include handicap accessibility to the main floor and a handicap accessible restroom, sound system and a modern commercial kitchen to ensure professional food preparation. The Lounsbury House offers special event packages which include the house rental, tables, chairs, flatware and china. The main floor can comfortably seat up to 150 guests for a formal seated affair while up to 225 guests can be accommodated for a walk-around buffet.
